Winter Activities
Starting with this season it will now be possible to book an all-in Winter Holiday Week.
This week we offer you in cooperation with Stugby Fredrosgård in Fredros and Husky-vakantie Nederland.
Fredros is situated approx. 40 km west of Sunne, in the direction of the Norwegian border.
Here you will find a vast nature reserve, where we have some 200 km trail (track) to our disposal. Directly adjacent to this territory lays Fredros Gård, a stugby (holiday settlement) with a number of wooden Log-Cabins.
And this is what will be included in this Winter Holiday Week:
* one week lodging in a Log-Cabin at the lake
* free use of the sauna near the Log Cabins
* cooling down in a hole in the ice, especially cut in the ice of the lake situated approx. 30 metres away from the door of your Log-Cabin
* 1 or 2 snow scooter safari´s
* 1 or 2 days sleigh-riding with our cheerful Huskies, including the opportunity to stay overnight in the woods in a Mongolian tent
* a day ice-fishing, including equipment and depth-chart
* free use of snow shoes
* free use of wooden ski’s from Lapland
According to your wishes the package can be extended with amongst others:
* a ride through the woods with a horse-driven sleigh
* a meditation-day in the woods
And for the guests that are interested there will be a possibility to attend
* a traditional American Indian Fire-Ceremony
In short, an unforgettable week during which the dogs, the true perception of nature and spending most of your time outside, will be playing a paramount part!

Short Trips
Ideal for all people wanting to taste what a drive with our cheerful huskies is like. One sits in the sleigh and enjoys winter wonderland!
Every Saturday you will find us and our huskies at the "Spårcentralen" on ski-resort Hovfjället. Reservations can also be made in advance.

Coffee Tour (approx 1,5-2 hour)
Sit yourself down in the sleigh and truly enjoy the magic beauty of a winter wonderland. We make a slightly longer trip (3 km) and drink our coffee, tea or chocolate-milk which we brewed ourselves over a little campfire, together with some goodies that we brought along.
Booking by appointment. The Coffee Tours we ride from our home in Lysvik or somewhere else, depending on the snow conditions at the time.

Forest Tour (approx 2,5-3 hour)
Go with us through an extraordinary adventure in the woods surrounding the kennel. Let yourself be taken on a sleigh-ride by our guide or ride your own team of dogs.
We meet at the kennel and start off with coffee and an explanation how to manage a sledge pulled by dogs. After that we put the dogs onto the sledge and set out. After a wonderfull tour in the forest we unharness the dogs and water them. We close off the day with a nice hot glögg.
Booking by appointment. The Forest Tours we ride from our home in Lysvik or somewhere else, depending on the snow conditions at the time.

1 Day workshop Mushing
Take the opportunity and learn the basic principles of managing and riding your own team of dogs.
We start this day with coffee and a small tour in order to get acquainted with the dogs. After that you will get an explanation on driving (mushing) a team of dogs and will we prepare ourselves for the sleigh-ride.
After which we will put the dogs onto the sledge and then your adventure starts. Experience the feeling of unity between man and dog.
In case of more than 3 participants you will be seated in the sledge in turn, so that everyone can practice managing the sleigh-ride.
Including coffee and a lunch, which we prepare together over a campfire. At the end of the day we unharness the dogs, water them and we close off with a nice hot glögg.
Mind: to be allowed to ride a sledge you must be 18 years or older.
Minimum 3 and maximum 5 persons per group.

Summer
During summertime our dogs mainly enjoy their well-deserved rest. To stay in shape we walk a lot. Therefore we offer the opportunity to do some scouting with one of our Huskies and enjoying the beautiful scenery of Värmland at the same time.
- Kennel Visit
Meet our 18 lively Siberian Huskies. Hug and caress these lovely creatures and watch how fast they can run.

- Husky Tour I with Kennel Visit
After a visit to the kennel and after a briefing regarding the Huskies we will be taking a walk through the woods of approx. 3 km. This tour is also suitable for children of 5 year and older.

- Husky Tour II with kennel visit
During such a day we will meet the dogs, chose our own favourite and set out for our walk. This tour lasts for approx. 8 km and therefore not really fit for young children.

- Midsummer Tour
Visit our kennel, select your favourite dog and come along with us. Experience the enchantment of a walk in the evening through the woods and listen to the eternal song of the forest!
The tour lasts for approx. 5 km and is therefore not really fit for young children.
